Qing, a senior statistician at Insureware, has a solid academic background in mathematics and statistics. After completing her BSc in Applied Mathematics in Shanghai University, China, she successfully completed a BSc Honours with First Class Honours in Statistics, at La Trobe University, Melbourne. She was a research assistant and tutor in La Trobe University before joining Insureware in 2002.

Qing's statistical strength lies in information theory, and model selection – especially for generalized linear models. She has also acquired broad knowledge of insurances industry data Schedule P. She enjoys the great challenge of model building and forecasting, as one of the key members of the high-calibre support and consulting team.

In 2011, Qing set up a salon group in Chinese Professionals Club of Australia (CPCA), and is the group leader since then. Apart from reading, she is also interested in music, photography, cooking, and spiritual exploration.
